About Us - History of George F White

George White founded the company in 1979 opening his first office in the Northumberland market town of Alnwick.  Joined soon after by Hugh Fell the pair forged a reputation as tenacious land agents and the company grew over the coming years.

In 1985 the firm had expanded to include relocation to larger premises in Alnwick (our current head office) and opened its second office in Wolsingham, County Durham.  The third office was launched in the summer of 1990 in the rural town of Bedale in North Yorkshire.

Since then the firm has grown substantially and now includes additional offices in Barnard Castle, following the merger with McOwan & Co, and most recently in the launch of our Shiptonthorpe office in East Yorkshire.

With an ambitious growth strategy the firm is looking to capitalise on its geographical coverage across Northumberland and The Borders, County Durham, Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire combined with the experience and expertise of its team to strengthen its position as one of the leading firms of chartered surveyors in the north of England.
