Position: Rural Practice Surveyor
Key Skills
Currently expanding his knowledge and experience within all 12 of the enterprises, which George F White operates. Main concentrating in the following areas:
Property Sales & Acquisitions
• Dealing with all aspects of land and rural property sales and acquisitions.
• Ability to effectively market and present your property.
Compulsory Purchase & Compensation
• Experience in negotiating with all types of authorities regarding all aspects of compensation.
• Good knowledge of wayleaves, easements, land acquisition.
• Acting on behalf of land owners and occupiers affected by water pipelines, electricity and gas mains and road schemes.
Grants & Subsidies
• Extensive knowledge of the Single Payment Scheme.
• Ability to assess short and long term viability of Environment Schemes.
• Identifying grant schemes available for property and business growth.
• Undertaking project management of applications ensuring the best prospect of acceptance.
Valuation
• Actively engaged in the valuation of land and rural property.
• For the purposes of probate, secured lending and taxation.
Dispersal Sales
• Working as part of a team headed by Tom Oates and George White to ensure the smooth running of a sale.
• Working closely with the vendors to maximise the potential of the items.
• All manor of sales can undertaken to the highest standard including livestock, machinery, plant and vintage equipment.
Education
Graduated for Harper Adams University College in 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. Currently APC Candidate for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and probationary member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
Interests
Shooting, hunting, socialising with friends and other rural pursuits and issues.
Background
Born and brought up in North Norfolk living on a large mixed enterprise farm. Having spent his work placement year from Harper Adams with the Alnwick office, he was delighted to be offered the chance to return to the North.
