Double APC Success
We are thrilled to announce that two of our Rural Practice Surveyors have passed their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) meaning that they are now qualified Chartered Surveyors.
Caroline Horn, who has been working at George F. White’s Bedale office for almost two years as a Rural Practice Surveyor, has passed both her APC and Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) exams which is a fantastic achievement. Caroline grew up on the family farm in North Yorkshire helping her family with the mixed enterprise holding. Caroline attended Harper Adams University achieving a First Class Honours degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management in 2015. Following graduation, Caroline joined George F. White’s Bedale office where she covers most aspects of land agency including estate management, valuations, sale of land and farms and compensation claims.
Commenting on Caroline’s achievement, Simon Britton, a Partner at George F. White said: “Caroline has showed great enthusiasm, drive and commitment during her time with the business. Gaining her qualifications is a testament to her hard work and how far she has come during her career so far.”
Alice Wilson has been working for George. F White for just over two years and like Caroline, has excelled as a Rural Practice Surveyor. Alice grew up on the family dairy farm in the South West of Scotland and this is where her passion for rural affairs began. She studied Geography at the University of Glasgow and went on to do her masters in Rural Estate Management at Cirencester – after graduating in 2014, Alice joined our Shiptonthorpe office and has been dealing with landlord and tenant issues within both the residential and agricultural tenancy sectors, the sale of land and farms and estate management of large mixed rural estates. Alice is currently working towards her CAAV exams; her success to date fills us with certainty that she will soon be a fellow of the membership.
Duncan Clarke, a Rural Practice Surveyor at George F. White praises Alice’s achievements “Alice has diligently applied herself in gaining her professional qualifications with George F. White and her success was well deserved. I have no doubt she has a very bright future ahead of her”
