Jonathan Wallis promoted to Partner at George F White
Jonathan Wallis has been made a partner with George F White Chartered Surveyors. Jonathan, who is based at the firm’s Wolsingham office in County Durham, joins a group of twelve Partners at the firm which now employs almost 100 people between Yorkshire and North Northumberland. George F White is the largest independent firm of rural RICS Chartered Surveyors in the North and its highly qualified team assists those who live, work and invest in the rural economy, allowing them to maximise the value of their property and their land.
Jonathan’s promotion to partner coincides with the development and growth of George F White’s services in the leisure sector and dispute resolution.
He will be leading a new leisure department which provides professional services to clients with leisure related properties including holiday cottages, golf courses, trade-related properties as well as rural sporting or leisure themed properties including shooting, fishing, go-karting or any other outdoor activity businesses.
George F White’s professional knowledge and day to day practical experience of rural matters mean they are the experts of choice for rural property disputes and Jonathan also heads up George F White’s Dispute Resolution team.
Jonathan is originally from Barnard Castle where his family are farmers. He has impressive qualifications including a degree in Countryside Management from Newcastle University followed by a masters in Rural Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester. He is a Professional Member of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV).
Having worked for George F White in Wolsingham since 2009, he has built up a strong client base across County Durham, Teesside and Tyne & Wear specialising in valuations, landlord and tenant, compensation and compulsory purchase, dispute resolution and the purchase and sale of agricultural and commercial properties.
Jonathan is also the founder and chair of the Teenage Cancer Trust North East Board. Jonathan says: ‘I enjoy the challenge and variety of my work at George F White. There’s certainly never a dull moment! Working in a great area amongst colleagues and clients that you like and respect is a real bonus and being made Partner is the icing on the cake.”
Hugh Fell, Managing Partner of George F White says: ‘Jonathan’s professionalism and dedication, plus his popularity with colleagues and clients, is a huge asset to our firm and we are delighted that he’s a Partner.’
