Making Flood Water Work For You Advice On Offer For Farmers And Land Owners From Leading Water Value Specialists
Farmers and landowners are invited to attend a free seminar being hosted by George F. White to discuss current thinking on flood water and its impact on the value of land and property.
Whether you have issues keeping flood water out, draining it away or storing it, George F. White’s specialist team, Water Value, will be presenting their thoughts on valuing water as a separate resource and considering it as both an asset and a liability.
Hugh Fell, Managing Director of George F. White and its Water Value division, will be leading the seminar, which is due to held at Park Lodge Shooting School, West Cowick on Wednesday 29th May 2013.
Hugh has become one the country’s leading ‘thinkers’ on water and leads the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) on the production of formal guidance on Valuation of water and also sits on their flood committee. Hugh commented:
“Water is the world’s most important positive resource but is also one of the worlds most damaging elements – one minute it is in short supply and the next it is causing huge flood damage. Whilst there is plenty of research available on the environmental and social aspects of water, no one has properly gripped the impact on value. Our Water Value team has developed a very specialist understanding of how water gives rise to both a reduction in value of flooded property, but also just as importantly, the huge value of storing water both for consumption and flood prevention.”
If you would like to hear more at this seminar please email Anna Fell or call 01430 876010. The seminar starts at 6.30pm and refreshments will be provided.
