George F White Sponsors Farm Crisis Network Event
TEAMS are sought for a Country Sports Challenge to raise funds for the Farm Crisis Network (FCN) in Yorkshire.
The event, sponsored by George F White, will take place at the Tanfield Estate, West Tanfield, near Ripon, on Saturday, June 4.
The estate is owned by Christopher Bourne-Arton, farmer and former president of the Yorkshire branch of the Country Land and Business Association and Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
Teams of three will all compete at rifle range, clay-shooting and fly-casting.
The winning teams will receive luxury hampers filled with local produce.
FCN has a UK network of volunteers from farming and rural churches who provide practical and pastoral support for over 1,000 families each year.
Kevin Guy, partner at George F White who is entering a team, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the first FCN sporting event in Yorkshire.”
Tickets are £20 per person.
Lunch and refreshments are available. Teams must enter by Wednesday 1st June 2011.
