Richard Garland MRICS Chartered Surveyor has been made a Partner with George F White. He joins a group of eleven Partners at the firm. George F White Chartered Surveyors now has five offices from East Yorkshire to North Northumberland, and employs 100 staff. It is the largest independent firm of RICS Chartered Surveyors in the North and its highly qualified team assists those who live, work and invest in the rural economy, allowing them to maximise the value of their property and their land.
Richard, who specialises in planning and development property, joined George F White in September 2006, having graduated top of his year on his Masters course at the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester. In reflection of his specialist area of practice, he has also recently been made an Associate Member of the prestigious Royal Town Planning Institute. Originally from rural Yorkshire, Richard is the son of a builder and developed an appreciation of rural property from an early age. He is now well settled in Felton, Northumberland with his wife Emma and 2 year old daughter.
Hugh Fell, Managing Partner with George F White says: “The great thing about Richard is his enthusiasm and energy – you need these qualities in ‘spades’, in addition to intelligence and knowledge, to gain the confidence of clients and grow a business. He’s a real asset to the firm and we are all, the business and clients alike, very pleased that he is now a Partner.”
Richard says: “One of the best aspects of working with George F White is working for a group of clients I can identify with and genuinely like, which makes it so much easier to enjoy the work. Since I arrived in the North East in 2006 I’ve been swept along by the great sense of energy and dynamism that
George F White imparts to all its staff and customers. From day one, the firm has invested in me and allowed me to stretch my wings. To be made Partner by such a go-ahead, vibrant firm is fantastic and I am very excited about the future in an ever growing, diversifying business.”
