Rural specialists expand planning team
George F White has recently strengthened its Planning and Development team with the appointment of Stephanie Linnell as a Planning Consultant. Based in the Group’s Northumberland Office, Alnwick, Stephanie will be working with Richard Garland and his team providing specialist planning advice to clients with a focus on maximising value.
George F White, which was founded as a team of Chartered Surveyors, established their specialist planning team in 2007. On the back of its success, the team has continued to grow and now offers specialist planning consultancy from its offices in Northumberland, County Durham as well as North and East Yorkshire; alongside core surveying and estate agency services to the rural economy.
Richard Garland, who heads the Northumberland Planning and Development team says: “Stephanie’s recruitment comes as a direct result of a continued increase in our specialist planning work. She brings a particularly high level of credibility as a result of her professional involvement in planning in Northumberland for over 20 years. Her expertise in forward planning is particularly interesting at a time when new plans are being made across the country and adds a definite strength to the team”.
Stephanie who joins the team from Northumberland County Council has a BSc (Hons) in Geography, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Town Planning and is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. She has extensive experience in the development and implementation of local plans, previously working in the former Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed Local Planning Authorities before joining Northumberland County Council. Her main focus has been housing issues including affordable housing and assessing housing potential, with an understanding of the natural and built environment, renewable energy, securing funding initiatives for regeneration projects and assessing planning applications.
Stephanie says: “George F White has an excellent reputation for delivering real value for clients and I am thrilled to join such an ambitious company and vibrant planning team. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise my planning experience to help a diverse range of clients look to the future and successfully develop and enhance the potential of their property and assets.”
