The Christmas Present Project

We are thrilled to be supporting The Rotary Club of Alnwick with their Christmas Present Project by becoming a collection point.

What is the Christmas Present Project?

It is heart-breaking to think that whilst we are celebrating the festive season and sharing gifts with one another, there is a child in our local community that will receive nothing. Thanks to the Rotary Club of Alnwick as well as the local community, things should be very different this year!

How can you get involved?

Would like to help a disadvantaged child this Christmas and truly put a smile on their face? Listen up!

Step 1. Visit either The Boony Hoose Company or George Penrose & Sons
Step 2. You will be given a label with a child’s name as well as information such as their age
Step 3. Buy an appropriate present for the child
Step 4. Place your gift in a plastic bag with the label on it (please do not wrap the gift!)
Step 5. Drop your present off at the George F. White office for the Rotary Club to Collect

Please note you have until Wednesday 20th December to drop off your gifts at the George F. White office.

George F. White Promotes Operation Christmas Child

For the second year George F. White have joined together to promote Operation Christmas Child. It’s a festive charitable campaign established by the Samaritan’s Purse which aims to make a big impact on the lives of small children in underdeveloped, poverty stricken parts of the world by providing a shoe box full of much needed gifts. The appeal has seen Samaritan’s Purse deliver Christmas in a box to areas such Liberia, Romania and Uganda.

Talking about George F. White’s involvement, Jessica Tait said: “It’s great to be involved in such a great cause. The entire team, from the Scottish Borders down to North Lincolnshire, is really motivated and keen to provide as many shoeboxes as we can which is why we’re thrilled that our Alnwick office is a registered drop off point for Operation Christmas Child. All boxes are being collected on Thursday 10th November so we are urging everyone to get involved – not only George F. White staff but the wider public too. These shoe boxes really do make a big difference to children’s’ lives at a very special time of year.”

The team at the Alnwick office have shoe boxes that people are free to takeaway and fill with unwanted belongings. Alternatively, members of the public can drop off their own filled shoe boxes during office hours, before 10th November.
