The Area
Waren Mill has a rich history and was once an important port although through time the coastline and estuary have changed and no evidence of the port now remains. Locally there are beautiful and unspoilt stretches of golden sand and the immediate area is a haven for wildlife. Waren Mill is just 2.5 miles from the popular and historic village of Bamburgh with its much photographed castle and quaint selection of eateries, shops and pubs. A further mile beyond is the bustling village of Seahouses with more comprehensive amenities and its busy working harbour. Alnwick, probably the most popular town in North Northumberland, is around half an hour’s drive away. Alnwick is the seat of the Duke of Northumberland and is home to the famous Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Gardens. There are mainline train stations 18 miles north at Berwick-upon-Tweed and 20 miles south at Alnmouth and with the A1 around 5 minutes’ drive away, communication links are excellent.

The Property
This penthouse apartment has possibly one of the best views across Budle Bay towards Holy Island. The former Norman grain mill, Grade II listed, includes three distinct buildings ( The Maltings, The Kiln and The Mill). Situated a-top the The Mill, this property has been designed with the views and natural light in mind. Consequently there are stunning views from the sitting room and master bedroom. Light floods the apartment and there is a spacious feel throughout. Accommodation comprises, – hallway, cloakroom, sitting/dining room, kitchen (with integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer, fan oven, induction hob and extractor). On the upper level there are 2 generous double bedrooms and shower room. Electric heating operates via an off-peak tariff. There is good storage throughout including additional space in the basement. There are no restrictive covenants so the maisonette is an attractive proposition for permanent living, a second home or an investment property.
