The Area
Butterknowle is a small village, situated between the
market towns of Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland with
facilities including a primary school, doctor’s surgery and
public houses. Further shopping, educational and
recreational facilities can be found within the
aforementioned towns.

For the commuter the A68, A688 and A1 (M) provide links
with the major commercial centres of the North East.
Darlington Mainline Railway Station and Durham Tees

Directions
From Barnard Castle proceed out of town past the golf course taking the next turning on the right hand side to Copley. At the subsequent cross roads continue straight ahead and on entering Copley turn right at the T junction. Take the next left hand turning signposted Butterknowle/ Lynesack and follow the road into Butterknowle itself where the subject property will be found towards the far end of the village on the left hand side.
