The Area
Bolton is a small hamlet about 5.5 miles west of Alnwick. The village is well known for its friendly community and Bolton Chapel which serves as a chapel of ease to the Church of St John the Baptist in Edlingham. Bolton is surrounded by stunning countryside and has a post office, garage and popular village hall.
The popular historic market town of Alnwick is within easy driving distance and offers an abundance of amenities including specialist shops, restaurants, pubs and hotels. The Alnwick District is famous for its unspoilt beauty and is one of the most, picturesque areas of countryside in England with long sandy beaches, quiet friendly villages and well pre-served medieval Castles. There are numerous Stately Homes in the area including the fantastic Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland – often referred to as The Windsor of the North”. The Mainline train station of Alnmouth is 11 miles distant and offers good rail links both north and south.

The Property
Bolton Hall Cottage is accessed via attractive stone pillars leading to a gravel driveway with single garage and ample parking. The entrance hall leads to the bright and spacious, yet cosy, dining kitchen with fitted wall and floor units. There is a recessed range cooker which adds to the country feel. A door leads to the garden and the garage (which is plumbed for washing machine and tumble drier). The sitting room has lovely views onto the garden and features a wood burning stove for winter evenings. Leading from the sitting room is the family room, also with wood burning stove, character beams and doors to the conservatory. Back from the entrance hall, doors lead to both double bedrooms and the spacious, bright bathroom which comprises W/C, shower cubicle, bath, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. The property benefits from double glazing and central heating and has been extensively refurbished by the current owners to provide comfortable and modern living.
