The Area
Bolsterstone is a small village standing almost 1,000 ft. above sea level on high ground between the Stocksbridge and Ewden Valleys. It is one of the last remaining hill villages in the Sheffield area, and as a settlement it is much older than either Stocksbridge or Deepcar. The village itself has a thriving community group, a community allotment and village pub, whilst the small town of Stocksbridge is located approximately 1.5 miles to the north offers a good range of local services.

The city of Sheffield is located approximately 8.5 miles to the south of the village whilst the M1 motorway is approximately 4 miles to the east.

The property is well located for commuting into Sheffield, Huddersfield, Barnsley and indeed with close proximity to the M1 and Sheffield with its railway station commuting further afield is also relatively easy.

The Property

From the M1 (north) take junction 36 and head west on the A61. At the roundabout take the exit onto the A616 for approximately 2.5 miles before leaving on the exit signposted Stocksbridge. At the traffic lights on the edge of the town take the right turn and almost immediately turn left up the hill signposted Bolsterstone and in the village, the property will be found behind the Church with the drive lining between the Church and the village pub.

From the M1 (south) take junction 35a before picking up the A616 at the roundabout and follow directions as above.


The property shall be let unfurnished by way of an Assured Shorthold Tenancy for an initial term of 12 months at a rental figure of £1,250 per calendar month, to include the outbuildings and paddock. The rent is payable in advance by standing order. In addition, a deposit of one months’ rent shall also be payable prior to occupation. The Landlord’s agent will take up references through a referencing agency, the cost of which is £120 (including VAT) for the first applicant, with £60 each (including VAT) for additional applicants.
