The Property
Copt Hill wood is location adjacent the B1404 public highway which provides excellent roadside access to the property. The woodland is subject to two footpaths; one leads north tracing the boundary of the property with a second path leading almost due east along the route of the old railway line.

The woodland stocking consists of a mixture of alder and oak with other broadleaved trees present throughout the crop. The alder is now well established, with the slower growing oak beginning to thicken and starting to catch up. When walking through the crop, elements of cherry, willow, birch and sweet chestnut can be seen and these are also showing signs of strong growth.

The woodland receives an annual grant payment under the Farmland Premium Scheme until 2028.
