Entitlements to claim under the Basic Payment Scheme are included within the sale of this land. The Vendor will claim the 2017 payment, and the contracts of sale will oblige the purchaser to sign an indemnification that they will maintain the land in good agricultural and environmental condition and follow the Basic Payment Scheme compliance regulations if applicable. Further to this, the indemnification will also hold the purchaser liable should the vendor be penalised for breach of cross compliance due to the actions or negligence of the purchaser.
