Land South of Ashlea
New Build Opportunity
We are pleased to present to the market, a new build development opportunity for two sites which are being sold together as one.
The site is located on land south of Ashlea which lies on the outskirts of the village of Longframlington, Northumberland. The picturesque village offers local amenities including a butchers, an award winning village shop & newsagent, doctors surgery and country pub. Morpeth is approximately 11 miles away and has a variety of high street retailers and independent stores. Morpeth is easily reached via the A1 and it also benefits from a railway station with regular trains to Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The site has suitable access from the B6345 which connects Longframlington and Felton passing through Old Swarland/Swarland. The B6345 also provides connections with Alnwick & Morpeth via the A1 and A697.
Alnmouth train station is approximately a 21 minute drive and central Newcastle is approximately 35 minutes. There are regular local bus services with links to Rothbury, Morpeth and Newcastle.
Planning permission for the site exists over two separate permissions.
The first outline planning permission was granted by Northumberland County Council (application reference: 16/01783/OUT) on 27 July 2016 for the re-development of the site for up to three houses including access.
A second permission was granted outline planning permission by Northumberland County Council (application reference: 17/01476/OUT) on 15 August 2017 for the re-development of the remaining land for two houses including access.
