Support the Darlington Memorial Hospital Breast Cancer Unit
Last December, Sheila Harrison decided to volunteer herself to appear in a film about a WWII Nazi workcamp where she shaved her head on camera in a bid to raise money for the Breast Cancer Unit at Darlington Memorial Hospital where her mother was previously treated.
The charity aims to enhance the care of and improve facilities for patients within NHS hospitals in Durham, Darlington, Bishop Auckland, and other smaller sites. It uses monies generously donated by local people to pay for patient amenities and services beyond what the NHS can provide.
