George F. White and GFW Letting Triumph at North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
On Friday evening, the region celebrated woman entrepreneurship and leadership in business, as the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year awards took place for the 16th year running.
Holly Armstrong, Director of GFW Letting, North East property rental specialists, and Operations Manager at land and property specialists George F White, won the Leadership Award. Fran Mulhall, Regional Operations Manager at GFW Letting, beat stiff competition in the service category, picking up the Best Service Award.
Commenting on the award wins, Holly said: “It’s an absolute honour to win an award at such a prestigious event. It was great to be in the same room as some very talented and hard working women championing North East female entrepreneurship. It was a wonderful night.”
The evening was a great success and provided a platform for female-run businesses to showcase their talent, skill and ambition. Such values promoted on the night are similar to the ethos of how George F White and GFW Letting are both people-driven organisations where women have a number of senior, leading roles within each business.
Fran added: “I am over the moon to win the Best Service Award especially given the other nominees that I was up against. It’s a great privilege and also a reflection of how far GFW Letting has come since starting nearly three years ago. We focus on delivering a quality service to our clients which has been pivotal to the success of the business. Investing in people – male or female – is the lifeblood of the agency and I firmly believe we need to promote and celebrate women in business as much as we can.”
